This page contains a java-script that will allow you to keep your internet connection open by making your ISP think you're still surfing. This is extremely helpful when you're downloading large files or working on other projects. The script works by opening a second browser window, forcing it to the back so as not to interfere with other activities, and loading a user-specified URL into it according to a time interval which is also chosen by the user. The status bar at the bottom of this window will display a counter of how many times the Refresher has activated.

Start and stop the Refresher using the buttons below (closing this window will also stop the Refresher). To modify the Refresher settings, reload this page.

***NOTE: it has not been completely determined whether this JavaScript will keep your connection open.  Each ISP may differ in how it detects whether you're browsing or not.  Tests on Juno did seem to increase the amount of time the connection would stay open, but did not entirely prevent desconnects.
